Good security if you don't mind the repeated product upselling with pop up ads. Similarly I wouldn't use the password manager as I think other tools integrate much better to do the same job much better, easier, and in my opinion more securely. I suspect it's main benefit is for users who don't think about these things and need a bit more hand holding. Safepay is just a separate browser that turns off addons/plugins & presumably cookies, most browsers have a similar mode or just use an alternate browser to do the same and it would be less annoying than the pop-ups safe browser keeps throwing at you. It has a secure delete tool, again no different from others that give you more options and assurance on method of delete, where the bitdefender one is opaque as to how it's doing the "secure delete" The anti-theft tool just an encryption tool, I don't see the point when you can do this via other means and not require a subscription to access it.

The optimizer is just OK, no different from any of the other tools that examine your registry, good if you don't have one or don't trust the others available online. However you have to manually re-run it every windows configuration change. The Vulnerability detection tool seems half useful and did pick up on some very minor configuration items in windows that were worth turning off, but can easily be done by just following a good basic guide online e.g.

Read more few hundred meg so is essentially useless. The add-on products as part of the total security suite are somewhat meh however, I'd recommend going a simpler pack if it saves you money. If that's an issue I'd recommend the same! also there are some big discounts out there if you go to regular deal type sites.Īs a base AV it seems to work well and has good reviews from sites I know would have put it through the ringer. I purchased bitdefender from an online store offering good discounts so I suspect I won't run into the auto-renewal issues others have described.
